2-3 tablespoons raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the "mother"

A large glass jar or ceramic container

Cheesecloth or a breathable cloth

1. Pour the beer into the jar, leaving some space at the top for expansion.


2. Add the raw apple cider vinegar to the beer. This acts as the starter for the fermentation process.


3. Cover the jar with cheesecloth or a breathable cloth, securing it with a rubber band or string.


4. Store the jar in a dark, warm spot (around 60-80°F/15-27°C) for 3-4 weeks, making sure it’s undisturbed.


5. After a week, taste the beer vinegar to check its progress. Stir it every couple of days.


6. Once it reaches your desired acidity, strain the liquid to remove any yeast or sediment.


7. Bottle the finished beer vinegar and store it in a cool, dark place.
